Privacy
eie.io is a browser game made by Ignis Studios. This page says what the game stores, who else sees it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed.

Written in plain English by the people who made the game rather than by lawyers. If something here is unclear or looks wrong, say so and it gets fixed.
What the game stores
- An anonymous player id. The first time you play, the game makes up a random id and keeps it in your browser. It is not your name, your email or a device identifier. It is what lets your coins, animals, hats, records and daily chores still be there next time.
- Your nickname, if you type one. Other players see it in the arena, in the feed of who ate whom, and on the daily board.
- Play statistics: scores, how many animals you ate, food eaten, time survived, time dancing, time spent as each animal, abductions, and how long you held first place. These drive the daily chores, your personal records and the daily board.
- What you own and what you are wearing: coins, animals, hats, skins, effects and any ten-minute rentals still running.
- Settings such as graphics quality, sound and whether you prefer to play alone. These stay in your browser.
- Technical events: when a session starts, whether it reached a live farm and why not if it did not, how far into the game you got, when a life ends and what ended it, frame-rate measurements, and errors the game or the page hits. Each carries the game version and browser type.
If you link an email
Settings has an Account screen. Linking is optional and the game is fully playable without it. If you use it, we email you a six-digit code to prove the address is yours, and then store the address against your farm so the same coins and cosmetics appear when you sign in on another device. We store the address itself, and show it back to you partly masked. There is no password.
Login codes are deleted ten minutes after they are sent.
If you buy coins
Coin packs and remove ads are real purchases and cost real money. They are handled by Stripe, who take the payment details on their own page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us that a particular purchase completed, and we add the coins.
Because a browser can lose its storage and take a paid wallet with it, the email address you give Stripe for the receipt is linked to your farm automatically, so the purchase can be recovered on a new device. If you would rather that did not happen, buy nothing and tell us.
Advertising
No advertising network runs on this site today. The "watch an advert" buttons currently show a placeholder and grant the reward anyway.
When a real one arrives it will be Google AdSense H5 Games Ads, and this page will be updated before it goes live. One thing will be true of it whatever else changes: every advert is one you asked for. They are rewarded videos behind a button you press, in exchange for something in the game. Nothing interrupts a life, and nothing plays because you opened the page.
Third-party vendors including Google use cookies or similar storage to serve adverts, and those adverts may be personalised. Where the law requires you to be given a choice about that, you will be given one before any advert is requested and you will be able to change it afterwards. You can also opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Age
Playing takes no personal information from you. The anonymous player id is used only to run the game, keep your progress and act on abuse reports.
The only places the game asks for anything personal are the optional email link described above and the receipt email that comes with a purchase, and both are for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13; if you believe a child has linked an email address, write to us and it will be removed along with the farm it is attached to.
Who else sees it
- Amazon Web Services: hosts the game files, the arenas and the farm records, in the United States.
- Amazon Simple Email Service: sends account login codes.
- Stripe: takes payments and tells us when one completed.
- Cloudflare: answers DNS for the arena hostnames.
- Google: only once advertising is live, as described above.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for anyone else's advertising.
How long it is kept
- Technical events: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- Daily board entries: removed automatically once the day they belong to has passed.
- Login codes: ten minutes.
- Your farm (the id, nickname, coins, what you own and your records): kept while it is in use, so that coming back to the game means coming back to your own farm. Ask and it is deleted.
- Web server access logs: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
The anonymous player id exists to run the game, keep progress and act on abuse reports. It is not used to build a profile of you or shared with anyone for that purpose.
Reports
If another player's nickname or behaviour is a problem, the REPORT button on the death screen sends their name to us along with your player id, so that we can act on it and so that the button itself cannot be abused.
Getting your data, or getting rid of it
Write to farm@ignisstudios.com and say what you want. To find your farm we need either the email you linked, or the player id, which the game will show you in Settings. Deleting site data in your browser also abandons an unlinked farm: the game will treat you as a new player, and the old record is deleted in the ordinary course.
Changes
This page changes when the game does, and the date at the top is the version that applies.
